Thus the One God, Who is UN-NAMEABLE, has allowed us to call Him God, "I am Who I am," YHWH, YAHWEH, JEHOVAH to identify Him from all other names, but anyone of these is NOT His Name.
For humanity, however, our One God has given us One Name - JESUS - God's Messiah to the Jewish people for our salvation. St. Peter declares in Acts 4:12: "Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." NIV.
In Php 2:9-11, St. Paul declares: "9 God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of JESUS every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." NIV
A MANIFESTO TO ALL THE HEADS OF GOVERNMENTS AND KINGDOMS ON EARTH
THE PURPOSE OF WEALTH AND POWER IN THE KINGDOM OF GOD ON EARTH
(THE PRESENT ECONOMIC WORLD RECESSION - THE RESULT OF UNGODLY USE OF WEALTH AND POWER BY CHRISTIAN COUNTRIES LEAD BY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA AND GREAT BRITAIN AND A CHASTISEMENT FOR LEGALIZED ABORTION)
This is an urgent call to the Church leadership and to all the leaders of CHRISTIAN NATIONS to unite now to bring back TTHE WORLD to right standing with God before the SOVEREIGN OF NATIONS, CHRIST JESUS, gives up on us and declares before the Father: "These are not My people!" - meaning us, "who claim to be called by HIS NAME" - mired in godlessness and drenched in the blood of the unborn!!
For Christian nations, the primary purpose of wealth in the hands of the people of God under the New Covenant is to fund the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20): "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore goand make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Its secondary purpose is to help the poor (Proverbs 19:17; Ezekiel 16:49; Luke 16:9) who, Jesus said in Matthew 26:11, "…will always have with you." Such call to look after the poor should help advance the Kingdom/Reign of God on Earth through the participation of the wealthy and the powerful in the conversion of the poor, the downtrodden, and the oppressed through acts of Christian charity. These charities, whenever possible, should lead the recipients to become financially productive members of the Church and not to further dependency.
The world is the LORD’s and all that is in it (Psalms 50:12; Exodus 19:5). Individually and as nations, we are but stewards of the LORD’s resources to be used for His purpose. For Christian nations, the Church and the State are constituted for these two purposes for God’s glory. And the two purposes cited above are more than enough reasons for the Church and the State to work as partners to serve these ends on earth to the glory of the CREATOR.
State Wealth and Power and the Kingdom/Reign of God on Earth
In most countries, the two institutions of wealth and power are the National Religious Institutions and the State Governments. In Christian nations, these would be the Church and the State. Authority over national and local churches in the Roman Catholic Church is vested in a very wealthy and powerful central authority (Papal Authority) having its own City-State - the Vatican - in Rome. There is also the distinct separation between the priesthood and the laity with the former having very strong influence over the latter. Because of these, politicians have always been wary of the Roman Catholic Church using her wealth and power to usurp their role in government. In order to protect their interests, politicians in most Christian nations have promulgated the principle of "Separation of Church and State" into their countries’ constitutions. Thus, there exist undercurrents of distrust and antagonism between the Church leadership and the political leadership not only in Roman Catholic nations but also in most Christian nations.
The amount of wealth needed to reach out to the nations of the world is tremendous. By the wages of his hands as a tentmaker and by the charities of the churches he founded, Paul was able to preach the gospel of God’s Kingdom/Reign and God’s anointed King, Christ Jesus, to the "whole world" of the Roman Empire (Colossians 1:6, 1:23; Romans 1:8). But it took no less than Emperor Constantine (Carroll, 2001) himself to Christianize the whole Roman Empire. It also took the resources of kings and princes to Christianize Europe, and the resources of Europe, led by Spain as the world power then, to bring Christianity to the Americas in the West (Hastings, 1999) and to the Philippine Islands in the East (Asia).
If your denomination teaches that Emperor Constantine introduced apostate Christianity through his support for the Faith which eventually led to unity among the various Christian communities or confessions in the Roman Empire under the Catholic (Universal) Church, with the seat of the bishop of Rome as the most prominent of all bishoprics, then ask your theologians what would have had happened if Europe had not been Christianized. If they are honest, they should tell you that the world would have been under Islamic rule today.
God’s employment of Emperor Constantine to consolidate Christianity into One Body, One Church (Matthew 16:18) was similar to His anointing of Cyrus, a pagan king of Persia, who did not even acknowledge God. In Isaiah 45:1-4, God said: "This is what the LORD says to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I take hold of to subdue nations before him and to strip kings of their armor, to open doors before him so that gates will not be shut: I will go before you and will level the mountains; I will break down gates of bronze and cut through bars of iron. I will give you the treasures of darkness, riches stored in secret places, so that you may know that I am the LORD, the God of Israel, who summons you by name. For the sake of Jacob my servant, of Israel my chosen, I summon you by name and bestow on you a title of honor, though you do not acknowledge me."
Again in Isaiah 45:13, God continued: "I will raise up Cyrus in my righteousness: I will make all his ways straight. He will rebuild my city and set my exiles free, but not for a price or reward, says the LORD Almighty."
The fact is that all state wealth and power or persons of wealth and power, whether Jewish, Christian, Muslim, pagan, or whatever, belong to God. And He uses them, as He wills, for His purpose, for His glory, for His Son’s glory, and for the glory of His Church (Matthew 16:18)! Thus, just as God used the pagan Cyrus centuries earlier to free the Jews from their Babylonian exile, it is absolutely reasonable to believe that God used also Emperor Constantine (Carroll, 2001), long after the Bible was completed, to fulfill Jesus’s words in Matthew 21:43 that declared to the Jewish nation: "Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit."
And so will God use, now and long into the future, wealthy and powerful nations and personalities, even natural forces, to help convert unbelieving nations, or to chastise backsliding ones, until they recognize His Sovereignty which He has vested in Christ Jesus over the governments and kingdoms of the world (Psalms 110:1 Luke 19:27; Acts 2:34-36) and learn to live according to the foundations of God’s Throne (Rule): RIGHTEOUSNESS and JUSTICE!
God’s Call to His Servant-Nations and the Roman Catholic Church
God’s Call to Christian Nations. The earth is the battleground and humans are the proxy warriors of an ongoing spiritual conflict (Ephesians 6:12). This battle rages among individuals as well as among nations. This battle which has raged for centuries is the consequence of the transfer of power over the earth and its kingdoms and governments from Satan (Luke 19:27) to God’s Anointed Savior of the World and Sovereign of all human governments, Christ Jesus (Psalms 110:1; Acts 2:34-36).
God’s call to nations to His cause is not without precedent, as in the case of His call to the Persian empire through Cyrus, or without reasons. For without God’s servant-nations, how will the Father in heaven fulfill His promises to the Son? In Psalms 2:8-9, God said: "Ask of me, and I will make the nations your inheritance, the ends of the earth your possession." Without God’s servant-nations, how will God bring peace, through governmental righteousness and justice, on earth? In Isaiah 9:7, God declared: "The increase of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, (See also 1 Chronicles 17:11-14.) establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever." Again, without God’s servant-nations, how will the Kingdom of God grow to fill the whole earth? In Daniel 2:35, God declared: "But the rock that struck the statue became a huge mountain and filled the whole earth."
God’s Call to the Roman Catholic Church. The National Council of Churches claims 35 church denominations, while the World Council of Churches lays claim to 337 member-denominations. But the January 1998 report of the United Nations Center for Religious Studies listed Christianity as consisting of more than 27,000 denominations (Denominations, 1998). This is, truly, a Tower of Babel, if ever there is one! Matthew 16:18_19 calls for only One True Church! "And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven." Is it possible for all these 27,000 separate denominations, including the Roman Catholic Church, to have been vested with the same power to bind (hold accountable) or to loose (allow without accountability) whatever that church’s doctrines be on humankind whom God has assumed power over since the seating of Jesus on his Father’s throne (Acts 2:34-36)? Or are such church doctrines, whatever they be, apply only to that church’s congregation? Would that not make God a god of confusion?
This writer sees that until the Protestant churches evolve from mostly being "personality-driven, free-enterprise-type" churches into National Churches, such as with the Church of England, Catholics have all the reasons to believe that it is only the Roman Catholic Church that has the potential to fulfill God’s promises to His Son. She alone has the unity, organizational structure, wealth, and reach through the number of her faithful worldwide to actualize the Dominion/Stewardship of the Earth in the name of Christ Jesus to the glory of the Father, not by the exercise of any administrative state power but by her spiritual and moral authority as Teacher of God’s Spiritual and Moral Law to the nations (Malachi 2:7). But she has to renew her commitment to that role first and to open the minds of her faithful to God’s promise of prosperity to the righteous as well! The Church must do these if she does not want to lose her relevance to our age, the age that people of the first-world countries are beginning to call the post-Christian era.
Unfortunately, the Roman Catholic Church appears to have become timid in calling the nations and their leaders, even the Catholic nations and their leaders, to the Reign of God on Earth, to biblical righteousness and justice, and to the stewardship of their resources in their portions of the earth. By interpreting everything in spiritual terms and with their eyes heaven-bound, her leaders have closed their minds to the political (Lindberg, 2007) teachings of Jesus.
The Roman Catholic Church must return to her original commission: To call all nations to submit to Christ’s REIGN/KINGDOM according to the Father’s will (Ephesians 1:9-10) - the Reign/Kingdom of God on Earth where the LOVE, the RIGHTEOUSNESS, and the JUSTICE of God in Christ Jesus may find their fullest expressions on earth. Thus, she must stop spiritualizing Jesus’s call to the Kingdom of God, for, according to Jesus himself (Matthew 7:21-23), if we have not entered God’s Kingdom on Earth while we are still in the flesh, we definitely cannot enter His Kingdom of (in) Heaven when we die.
The Roman Catholic Church must also renew the minds of all Christians by leading them to believe that PROSPERITY (Alcordo, 2007) is truly God’s reward for the RIGHTEOUS on earth. God adds no sorrow to such wealth (KJV - Proverbs 10:22). So, the Church must stop antagonizing the landed and the wealthy by unjustly favoring the poor at their expense. Leviticus 19:15 declares: "Do not pervert justice; do not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the great, but judge your neighbor fairly." She must instead reach out to them and teach them to "Love their poor neighbors as themselves" and to goad and guide them to use their resources to create opportunities for the poor so they can lift themselves up from poverty. But the poor cannot lift themselves up from poverty without righteousness, faith in God’s blessing of prosperity, and hard work.
The United States of America - A Nation Under Chastisement
The United States - A Backsliding Nation. The people of the United States, which in the last century have been the vanguard of evangelization, do not appear to believe any more in the Great Commission. With their courts’ interpretation of the principle of "Separation of Church and State" that denies any role of God in all affairs of government, America has abandoned its claim to Divine Destiny. The nation’s fanatical insistence on "Separation of Church and State" demanded, on the one hand, by the atheists so as not to be subjected to any religious celebration or ritual or both and, on the other hand, by the minority non-Christian religious groups as well as by the majority of the Protestant churches for fear of government encroaching into their turf of religious powers and privileges has, in fact, made America the image of the old Roman Empire with its worship of many gods. The result is that America has effectively eased out the One True God in Christ Jesus from the affairs of the State. Couple this "Separation of Church and State" fanaticism with the nation’s commitment to and worship of democracy as the "government of the people (6), by the people (6), and for the people (6)" and we see the United States of America evolving into an embodiment of the Beast in the book of Revelation with the mystery number of 666.
Also, the just and rightful demand of the Creator-God on humankind to fear and to glorify Him (Revelation 14:7) has been rejected by America in favor of protecting individual rights. To protect each and everyone’s right to glorify his/her own god, America, represented by the Federal Courts, has relegated the God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and Jesus (John 20:17) to the level of just one among the myriads of gods of humankind. The One and Only Creator-God, as with all the other gods, is to be worshiped only in the privacy of homes, churches, and temples; whose names, images, and related icons are to have no place in the halls and offices of state and federal governments; and whose words are not to be acknowledged as divine revelation nor are the principles, the moral values, and the laws upon which the nation was founded be attributed to the Holy Bible as the source of their inspiration. From their early history, the American nation and its government can and should be proud to be called "a Christian Nation, a Christian Government" and to walk in the name of God in Christ Jesus - NOT TO REJECT HIM AND HIS TEACHINGS. Christian America can surely do all these without abandoning its commitment to protect the rights of non-Christians to walk in the name of their gods (Micah 4:5) and non-gods.
Again, in the name of individual rights, the government’s protection of America’s women’s right not to bear children, has led to the legalized slaughter of millions of babies in their mothers’ wombs! The American people should recall God’s Law given to Noah (Genesis 9:6), thus to humankind, that says, "Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed; for in the image of God has God made man." This law has not been abrogated by any of Jesus’s teachings or pronouncements. We believe that it was also precisely this Law, if God’s righteousness and justice were to be upheld, that justified God of His command to the Israelites then to exterminate the inhabitants of Canaan (Deuteronomy 20:17) who had offered their sons and daughters as burnt offerings to their false gods (Deuteronomy 12:31). And this writer believes that the demand of this same divine Law led to the destruction, in the hands of Spanish and other European Christian forces (Wright, 1992), of the pre-Columbian nations and civilizations in South America which were notorious for offering human sacrifices to their gods (Wikipedia.org).
The people of the United States of America and all nations that have LEGALIZED ABORTION, beware and repent! Know that at whatever stage and for whatever reason, ABORTION is HUMAN SACRIFICE to INHUMAN SELFISHNESS!
Meanwhile, the U.S. Catholic Church, as a whole, appears to just drift with the national tide, with little or no influence on the moral, social, and political directions of the country. This is further aggravated by wayward priests involved in sexual scandals that have caused the US Church to waste her financial resources defending wayward priests in courts and compensating their victims, thus bankrupting several dioceses (NYT Bankruptcies, 2007) and diminishing her most precious resource - her moral authority. There are also priests and nuns wasting their time and talent squabbling over rituals and doctrines that have nothing to do with love, righteousness, or justice. In countries such as the Philippines and the Latin American countries, the Church’s desire to be at peace with the world has caused these countries to wallow in superstition, idolatry, vice, corruption, and in the consequent poverty that they bring.
By all measures, America has, indeed, rejected divine wisdom (Proverbs 8:12-21) for human wisdom. America must look back into the history of Israel which is God's lessons for all nations (Alcordo, 2003). Without the vision of Divine Destiny that once propelled America to become the greatest nation on earth, America has lost the guidance of Divine Providence. With the loss of such guidance, America has allowed its natural resources and the wealth of its people, that God has given them to fund the Great Commission, to be drained by non-Christian nations, primarily by Japan for the past many years; presently and becoming more significantly also by China, and, within another decade, should include India. America has been led by the nose to waste its wealth on self-gratification, on wanton and extravagant materialism, on misguided wars in Afghanistan and Iraq - because of an utter lack of understanding of Islam, a lack of understanding that exposed America‘s military weakness rather than its strength - and on charities that glorify man’s goodness rather than God’s. Because of all these, the US government and the American people are now mired in debt. And it is becoming clear that whatever the middle class and the poor people give to their churches and evangelists, these are no longer intended to support the Great Commission but are now given as "prosperity tithes" with the hope for the returns promised in Mark 10:29-31 and Malachi 3:8-12. Such "tithes" only put the Lord to the test and add only to the people’s and the nation’s debts! The ongoing (2008) collapse of personal finances and of mammoth financial institutions attests to the ongoing chastisement from Above. Only itsgovernment’s authority to print more billions, if not trillions, worth of paper money is keeping the country afloat. But how long from now will the world accept the U.S. dollar as the world’s currency?
Calling the United States of America Back to the LORD. America, look back and see how far you have fallen from God’s grace! This writer beseeches the American Christians, as a people, to return to their first love, be healed and be lifted up among the nations once again! America must put to heart Micah’s (4:5) words: "All the nations may walk in the name of their gods; (but) we will walk in the name of the Lord our God for ever and ever" and live by them again! As individual Christians, proclaim with great pride Christ Jesus as personal Savior and, as a Christian Majority, proclaim Christ Jesus as Sovereign of the Nation according to our heavenly Father’s WILL (Ephesians 1:9-10) while protecting the rights, even of a single person, to walk in the name of his/her god or non-god!
This is an urgent call to the Church leadership and the State leadership to unite now to bring this nation back to right standing with God before our Lord Jesus Christ gives up on the United States and declares before the Father: "These are not My people!" - meaning the American people - drenched in the blood of the unborn!
Let me end this Manifesto with a quote from Jeremiah18:7_10:
"If at any time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down and destroyed, and if that nation I warned repents of its evil, then I will relent and not inflict on it the disaster I had planned.
And if at another time I announce that a nation or kingdom is to be built up and planted, and if it does evil in my sight and does not obey me, then I will reconsider the good I had intended to do for it."
