On the NAME of the ONE GOD (October 1, 2009)

Here is something about the nature of "The One God" that students and scholars of the Words of God, including the modern Jewish Bible commentators, may have missed.

Pious Jews believe that the Name of "The One God" is "God." In most of their publications, they write God as "G-d" for fear of pronouncing it. But "God" is not the Name of God. Neither is/was YHWH, Yahweh, or Jehovah, or "I am who I am" or Trinity. God allows us the use of such names to identify Him from all other names, BUT THAT IS NOT HIS NAME.

The one inviolable nature of God is: The "One True God" in His "Oneness" is UN-SEEABLE, UN-KNOWABLE, AND UN-NAMEABLE by HIS creations, angelic and human. For His creations to see, or know, or name Him is for that creature to become equal, if not above, "The One True God." Recall the meaning of the naming of the animals by Adam.

Christian churches, including the Roman Catholic Church, declare the TRINITY as the deepest and greatest mystery of our Faith. As I stated in my post on "On the Trinity," it is not. The greatest, deepest, unfathomable mystery of True Christianity is the very "ONE TRUE GOD" Himself.

The TRINITY explains the "One True God" to us through His workings in spirit, in man, and in history. The Trinity allows us to accept as truth that: "The Father is greater than the Son" or that "Blasphemy against the Son is forgivable here and in the hereafter but never forgivable against the Holy Spirit" without leading us to conclude that One Person in the Godhead is "more God" or "less God" than the other two.

If prophets/founders/pastors/theologians/etc. of the various church denominations use the "one inviolable nature" of the One God as the foundation of their Theology, there will be no Oneness or Unitarian "Christian" churches. There wiill be no witnesses of Jehovah or Yahweh. We all will be Trinitarian in our understanding of the One God, and Unitarian in our worship of the One NAME God has given us - JESUS!

There is one and only One NAME that God has given mankind for his salvation, and that is the neme of JESUS. 

In Acts 4:8-12: 8 Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: "Rulers and elders of the people! 9 If we are being called to account today for an act of kindness shown to a cripple and are asked how he was healed, 10 then know this, you and all the people of Israel: It is by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified but whom God raised from the dead, that this man stands before you healed. 11 He is "'the stone you builders rejected, which has become the capstone.' 

12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved." NIV

In Php 2:5-11, Paul declared: 5 ''Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man,he humbled himself and became obedient to death — even death on a cross! 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." NIV

Thus, BIBLICAL-CHRISTIAN TRUTHS DEMAND OUR UNITY "IN THE ONENESS OF THE GODHEAD, HIS TRINITARIAN REVELATION OF HIMSELF IN HIS WORKINGS IN SPIRIT, IN MANKIND, AND IN HISTORY AS TRINITY - FATHER, SON, AND HOLY SPIRIT (Matthew 28:17-19) - AND IN "ONE LORD, ONE SAVIOR, ONE NAME - WHO IS JESUS, THE CHRIST."
